ERL is an american Ready-To-Wear brand designed by Eli Russel Linnetz in Venice Beach, California.
The brand launched its first full menswear collection in January 2020, capturing the colorful and laid-back spirit of California with playful takes on All-American staples. ERL has since expanded its universe to include tailoring, accessories, fragrances, eyewear and footwear. As a storyteller, Linnetz starts every season with a cinematic approach that includes complex characters and narratives.
For the Fall-Winter 2024 collection, ERL continues to expand its cinematic universe with its most heartbreaking story yet. The story takes place in a single day - where we follow a group of high school seniors who unknowingly live their final day on earth. We get a glimpse into the various chapters of their lives - football practice, the school play, a new romance, punk band rehearsal, and finally from - where it ends in a dramatic car crash.
The collection explores various American character archetypes and tropes: the jocks, the preppy kids, the punks, the theater kids, the stoners, and the skaters - all wearing a selection comprised of shirting, suiting, outerwear, denim, knits, evening wear and accessories - all with ERL´s authentic take on Americana and nostalgia.
